Empire State Building Lights Up In Green & Gold For Kylie Minogue’s Sold-Out Shows

New York has lit up the Empire State Building in green and gold in honour of Kylie Minogue’s two sold-out Tension World Tour shows at Madison Square Garden.

The Aussie pop icon appeared at an event at the building, calling the recognition “mind-blowing.”

“I can’t wait to see the glorious building lit up,” the Padam Padam singer said.

“Two nights at MSG is just mind-blowing, but to be lighting up the Empire State Building in green and gold—thank you so much,” Minogue said.

“I feel like everyone is shining in their own way, and I love seeing everyone be the best version of themselves,” the 56-year-old pop icon said.

“Thank you for adding some sparkle to my day, and I can’t wait to see the glorious building lit up.”

Kylie Minogue is the highest-selling Australian female artist of all time and the third best-selling in the UK.

Previously, Kylie has said her lack of fame in the US did not bother her, as it gave her a bit of anonymity in the States. In 2022, Kylie said that she had “resigned myself to the fact that America wouldn't be like the rest of the world for me. I'm anonymous there — which, I must confess, I kind of like.”

However, after her 2023 hit Padam Padam, she is quickly making a name for herself in the US market.

Her Tension album landed her a Grammy and a second number one on the US Billboard’s Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart, as well as a Las Vegas residency.
