Dylan Alcott To Retire After 2022 Australian Open

One of Australia’s greatest tennis players, Dylan Alcott, is set to call time on his glittering career after the 2022 Australian Open.

The announcement was made by Tennis Australia on Tuesday.

“Ending on the ultimate note,” it said in a tweet.

“Dylan Alcott will contest his final professional tournament at AO2022.

“With 23 Grand Slam titles and a Golden Slam in a stunning 2021 season, it’s been a spectacular career for the long-time world No.1.

“You’ve done us proud, Dylan!”

Dylan is fresh off a golden slam, having won all four Grand Slams and the Paralympic gold medal this year.

He has won 15 Grand Slam titles, including seven Australian Opens, three French Opens, two Wimbledons and three US Opens.

Dylan has also won the gold medal at the Paralympics twice.
