Virgin Australia To Introduce Pub Classic Chicken Parmigiana To In-Flight Menu

Whether you call it a chicken parma, or a chicken parmi, Virgin Australia will let you decide that at 30,000 ft, with the pub classic featured on the airline’s new winter menu.

This week, the airline announced its revamped in-flight dining menu, from zesty soba noodles to chickpea masala.

However, it’s the pub classic chicken parmigiana that has caught the eye of Aussies, reigniting the age old debate: is it a chicken parma, or a chicken parmi?

Whichever side of the fence you sit on, a win is a win.

If a chicken parma (or parmi) isn’t your meal of choice, the good news is there are roughly 17 new lunch and dinner items on rotation, from Italy, Japan, India and Mexico.

“At Virgin Australia, we believe flying should be as enjoyable as the destination, right down to what’s served on-board,” Kyler Chong, Virgin Australia’s general manager product and customer strategy, said.

“Our new winter menu embodies our passion for bringing personality to the skies, featuring fresh, flavour-packed options designed to add value and delight at every bite.”

The new business class menu will be available to passengers from May 28.
