Rudd portrayed Bobby Newport in the fourth and seventh seasons of the NBC show Parks and Recreation, starring alongside Amy Poehler’s character, Leslie Knope.
While the pair play rivals on the sitcom, with Bobby gunning for Leslie’s council seat, in reality, Poehler and Rudd are best friends.
On Poehler’s most recent episode of her podcast, Good Hang, she sat down with Rudd to take a walk down memory lane, touching on their time together working on Parks and Recreation.
When asked what his memories of playing Bobby Newport were, Rudd took the opportunity to gush over his fellow castmates.
“My memories of that were, I can’t believe I get to work with my favourite people in the world. You, and Adam, and Catherine, and Rashida.”
The 56-year-old is, of course, referring to Parks and Recreation cast members Amy Poehler, Adam Scott, Kathryn Hahn, and Rashida Jones.
“It was like a dream,” he continued.
“The great thing that can happen if you are able to sustain enough of a career, you get to a point where you work with your friends. You get to work with people you really like. It’s not work… It’s just the best.”
“It was such a fun character, obviously, and the show is so great. It was just a dream.”
