Nutella Releases First New Flavour In More Than 60 Years

Nutella has introduced a brand-new flavour for the first time in more than 60 years: Nutella Peanut.

The brand has revealed its first new flavour in 61 years. Unfortunately for us Aussies, the new Nutella Peanut flavour will only be released in the U.S. market.

The brand also made it clear that this is not a peanut butter product and will still have its distinct hazelnut and chocolate taste, too.

“We didn’t want it to be another peanut butter,” Seth Gonzalez, the senior director of marketing for Nutella, told the Chicago Tribune.

“There’s a reason why cocoa is still connected as a peanut-and-cocoa formula, instead of just peanuts. It’s more afternoon snacking than lunch, for example.”

According to the Chicago Tribune, the new flavour has been in development for five years.

It will be manufactured in Ferrero’s Franklin Park factory. It will also “invest $75 million in the plant” and create dozens of new jobs.

“Nutella’s first taste innovation in more than 60 years, this latest addition to the Nutella portfolio is the best of both worlds,” a statement from Ferrero North America said.

“It combines the distinctive creaminess of Nutella cocoa hazelnut spread with the delicious taste of roasted peanuts. Available starting Spring 2026.”
