Spears is celebrating her birthday with an uncontested divorce, with their pair's premarital agreement being upheld and the pop superstar holding on to her earnings before, during and after their marriage. 

According to legal documents, Spears and ex-husband Asghari settled their divorce earlier this year, but their marital status officially ended on December 2, 2024. 

Model Sam Asghari, born Hesam, filed for divorce from the 'Lucky' singer in August 2023, just over a year after the pair's star-studded wedding, citing irreconcilable differences.    

Spears addressed the split at the time of filing, writing on Instagram, "6 years is a long time to be with someone so, I'm a little shocked but … I'm not here to explain why because it's honestly nobody's business !!! But, I couldn't take the pain anymore honestly !!!"

Ashari told People magazine earlier this year that he holds no ill will toward his ex.

"It was a blessing to be able to share life with someone for a long time, and people grow apart, and people move on," he said. "I've always hated people leaving a certain relationship — and at some point, they told each other they love each other, and they sat at the same table and ate food [together] — so I never understood when people part ways [and] they talk badly about each other. That's something I'm never going to do because I had nothing but an amazing experience and a great life, and that's always going to be part of my life, a chapter of my life."
