An investigation is underway after a suspicious fire engulfed the shops on Mahoneys Rd in Campbellfield on Wednesday at about 3.40 am.
Victoria Police confirmed that rabbits, fish and birds inside the King Pets shop were killed in the blaze.
10 News First reported that all animals except a tub of turtles sadly perished during the fire.

“Police are investigating a suspicious fire in Campbellfield on May 7,” police told news.com.au on Wednesday.
“Emergency services responded to reports of a blaze at an acai shop on Mahoneys Rd about 3.40am.
“The fire fully engulfed the shop. No one was inside at the time.
“The investigation remains ongoing.”
