Read the Play (RTP) was established in 2006, primarily aimed at addressing youth mental health issues and created as a response to increasing concerns about the mental wellbeing of young people.
The charity focuses on education and awareness, using sporting clubs as platforms to engage with young people.
RTP delivers free one-hour interactive programs that encourage young people to talk openly about mental health, reduce stigma, and seek help when needed.
Over the years, RTP has expanded its reach, partnering with various sports and community organisations to amplify its impact on youth mental health across the Geelong region.
