This is the same man the US had a $15.5 million bounty on just last year.
Trump reportedly told al-Sharaa he should "tell all foreign terrorists to leave Syria; Deport Palestinian terrorists; help the United States to prevent the resurgence of ISIS," and "assume responsibility for ISIS detention centers in Northeast Syria.”
Following meeting with al-Sharaa, Trump said of the Syrian president: “Young, attractive guy, tough guy, strong past."
Trump also became the first US President to visit Qatar, where it seems he was wowed by lavish welcome and insane wealth.
He signed a multibillion dollar deal with Qatar for 210 US made Boeing planes, in a move that multiple congressional Republicans have raised concerns over.
However, Trump said on Monday that it would be "stupid" for him to refuse Qatar's offer of the Boeing 747-8 plane - worth $US400 million ($A619 million) - which would be used as "Air Force One," the jet American presidents travel on when they fly around the globe.
