QLD Campers On High Alert After Two-Metre Croc Spotted

The search continues tonight for the two-metre crocodile seen near a popular campground just south of K’Gari, formerly known as Fraser Island.

A Queensland camper managed to capture it on camera earlier this week, since then, there have been multiple sightings.

Wildlife rangers have snapped its tracks. They suspect it’s been pushed south from its usual habitat by the wild weather in north Queensland.

Rangers are patrolling and using drones to survey the area, intending to remove the crocodile from the wild as soon as they find it.

Senior Wildlife Officer Joshua Morris has taken time out of the search to ease our minds.
