Rescuers in Gothenburg, Sweden were called to the scene last Wednesday by the parrot’s concerned owner when it remained in the tree for several hours. Their attempts were futile, as the exotic bird continuously shouted “f**k you” at them. In the end, it was the bird’s owner that lured him down, six hours later, with a pack of cigarettes. According to Denny, one of the firefighters on scene, rescuing animals “is not really part of the fire services mission”, but they’ll do anything they can to help out where they can… even when the parrot is foul-mouthed and uncooperative.
