There have been reports that the 72-year-old agreed to exit the show following a disagreement with his housemate, Chris Hughes.
Rourke was said to have used language that was considered “threatening and aggressive.”
“Mickey Rourke has agreed to leave the Celebrity Big Brother House this evening following a discussion with Big Brother regarding further use of inappropriate language and instances of unacceptable behaviour,” a spokesperson for Celebrity Big Brother told Variety.
This comes after Rourke received a warning for inappropriate comments towards Dance Moms JoJo Siwa.
Rourke actor said that he was going to “vote the lesbian out real quick,” to which Siwa responded: “That’s homophobic if that was your reasoning.”
The actor also reportedly said, “I need a f**,” then gestured to Siwa and said, “I’m not talking about you.”
Hughes, who appeared on the reality show Love Island, was the only housemate to stick up for Siwa during the interaction.
Siwa got emotional when thanking Hughes for sticking up for her.
When Rourke was called to the Diary Room, Big Brother told him: “Mickey, before you entered the Big Brother house, the rules regarding unacceptable language and behaviour were explained to you.”
“Mickey, do you understand how this language could be offensive to your Housemates or the viewing public?”
To which Rourke replies, “Yeah, I think so. If I was saying it in a nasty kind of way or if I truly meant it.”
Big Brother then issued the actor a formal warning, explaining that further use of offensive language would get him kicked out.
Following the warning, Rourke apologised: “I apologise. I don't have dishonourable intentions - I'm just talking smack you know.
“I wasn't taking it all so serious. I didn't mean in it any bad intentions and if I did, sorry.”
Fans were outraged that he was not booted off the show immediately following that interaction.
