Meghan Markle Says She’s Sick Of Trying To Prove Herself

A teary Meghan Markle opened up about how she is “so done” with trying to prove that she’s enough and playing the “prove it game.”

In her first-ever podcast interview on The Jamie Kern Lima Show Podcast, Markle opened up about how she is over trying to prove herself to be enough.

“We spend so much of our lives trying to prove something, to prove that you’re enough,” the Suits star said.

“To prove that you’re pretty enough, to prove that you’re smart enough. To prove that you’re a good wife or a good friend—I am just so done with the ‘prove it’ game,” the Duchess of Sussex said.

“And if you can’t see it, I don’t need to prove to you why that’s your loss.”

“I know that I’m a great friend, and I know the kind of mum I am, I know the kind of human being I am,” she continued.

“I know how I show up, and I love being able to be that person with the people that I love,” Markle said.

“So, maybe part of worthiness comes when you stop having to feel like you’re in the ‘prove it’ game.”

When Kern Lima asked how Markle was doing now, she said she had been experiencing “a lot of pinch-me moments.

“And at the same time, I think, because I’m so busy with so many different things, and for each of those projects—as you mentioned, the show [Netflix’s With Love, Meghan], the podcast, or the brand [As Ever], the business—the most important thing that I work on every day, my practice is trying to really integrate it, to integrate the joy.”

“I’m happy, and the kids are healthy and H [Prince Harry] is great,” she continued. “And so, you know, that’s the stuff that fills my cup, but I’m trying to also enjoy these big wins right now.”
