The image, taken in the small town of Tajueco, led Spanish police to make two arrests in relation to the disappearance of a Cuban man last year.
According to local newspaper El País, the National Police are presenting the image as a "determining clue" in the arrest of two people for the alleged killing and dismembering of the missing Cuban man, alleging the body was moved in the car photographed by Google.
A second image captured by Google Maps shows a blurred silhouette of someone carrying a large white package on a wheelbarrow.
The Cuban national was living in the northern Spanish municipality of Soria and was reported missing by a relative who became suspicious after receiving a series of texts from the man's phone, claiming he had met a woman, was leaving Spain and would be getting rid of his phone.
"This made the complainant suspect that the messages had not been sent by the missing person and led him to report it to police," the police said in a statement.
Police arrested two people: a woman believed to be the missing person's partner and a man the woman was romantically linked to.
