Election Campaign Heads To Victoria

The federal election campaign has arrived in Victoria, with Anthony Albanese and Peter Dutton both in Melbourne tonight.

The PM started the day in South Australia pitching health policies and questioning how the Coalition will pay for its $600 billion nuclear energy policy.

Mr Albanese flagged there would be further health commitments to come in days.

"I can't stress enough that we want a prime minister of this country who understands that people need to have public health care invested in," the premier said.

The Opposition Leader meanwhile seized on discontent over Victoria's suburban rail loop by promising to move funding into an airport rail link.
