The duo were taking part in a round of rapid-fire questions to promote their upcoming romcom Materialists, where they play potential love interests.
Their electric chemistry was on full display during the interview, which quickly took an unexpected turn.
When asked if they’d ever had any accidents while filming, Pascal went first: “Yes, I have. I’ve gotten hurt for real.”
Trying to contain her laughter, Johnson chimed in, “Me too. I got whiplash from Fifty Shades.”
Cue Pascal absolutely losing it.
“That’s my favourite thing,” he declared
“It’s all meaningless after that.”
For those unfamiliar with the franchise, Johnson starred as Anastasia Steele in Fifty Shades opposite Jamie Dornan’s Christian Grey, a college student drawn into a steamy, sadomasochistic romance with a very rich, very dominant man.
In a 2015 interview with Yahoo Movies UK, Johnson explained the injury happened while shooting one of the infamous Red Room scenes.
“Jamie was throwing me on a bed. We did 17 takes, so my head just snapped back all day. When I woke up, I couldn’t move my neck. It was really terrible.”
