Australia’s Funniest Street Names Have Been Revealed

A funny street sign can really brighten your day. Whether you’re cruising down Craps Street or walking along Balls Lane, a funny word printed on a large metal sign will make you smile.

Good news, silly street lovers - a new study has found Australia’s funniest street.

Australian-owned international freight forwarder International Cargo Express (ICE) has carried out a study using social media platform X to find what they think are the funniest street names in all of Oz.

The research used keyword categorisation to find out which places tickled Aussies the most, with the top seven ranked based on how often people are posting about them being funny.

At number one, we have ‘Nowhere Else Road’ in South Australia.

Coming in at number two, it’s ‘Bald Knob Road’ from Queensland… and number three is ‘Bucketts Way’ from New South Wales.

Followed by ‘Mockridge Avenue’ NSW, ‘Useless Loop Road’ WA, ‘Haystack Lane’ SA and ‘Odd Street’ NSW.

Reddit threw in a few more doozies, with Cedar Creek’s Krakatinni Close a favourite, along with South Australia’s Morning Glory Avenue in O’Halloran Hill.

Personally, I think ‘Bald Knob’ should have been number one… I’m also outraged that ‘Glenn Close’ in Cranbourne West didn’t get a look in either.
