Pete Davidson Opens Up About Having His Dating Life Scrutinised Because He’s “Ugly”

Pete Davidson had become a tabloid fixture due to his high-profile relationships and now the SNL star is opening up about the vicious media coverage his love life received, all because he is “ugly”.

In an exclusive interview with Page Six, Davidson argued that the reason the media so heavily scrutinised his relationships is because he’s “ugly”.

“Everyone is dating everyone and it’s Hollywood. Look at Paul Mescal, Timmy [Chalamet], Barry Keoghan. But because I’m ugly, they wrote about me. I was harassed for like five years and it made my life a living hell.”

Davidson shared that it “was pretty humiliating and upsetting.”

The 31-year-old joined the cast of Saturday Night Live back in 2014, but he didn’t become a household name until 2018 when he started dating, and became engaged to, popstar Ariana Grande.

While their romance was short lived, Davidson would go on to be romantically linked to the likes of Kate Beckinsale, Margaret Qualley, Kaia Gerber, and Phoebe Dynevor.

Perhaps most famously was Davidson’s relationship with Kim Kardashian, which began in 2021 and ended nine months later.

Davidson explained that he found the media’s obsession with his love life “embarrassing,” noting, “you want people to write about your work”, noting that at 20, he “was one of the youngest ever cast members on ‘SNL’ and all that got pushed to the side because of who I was dating.”

Davidson will return to Studio 8H for SNL’s 50th anniversary special this coming weekend.
