Liam Payne Died Without Will, Leaving Ex Cheryl Cole As Administrator Of His $59 Million Estate

Former One Direction star Liam Payne had not written a will before his death, leaving the mother of his only child, Cheryl Cole, as co-administrator of his multimillion-dollar estate.

Payne died last year in October after tragically falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires.

According to UK court records obtained by Rolling Stone, the 31-year-old died ‘intestate’, meaning he didn’t have an executed will at the time of his passing.

Payne’s former partner, and the mother of his only child, Bear, has been listed as a co-administrator of his $59 million estate.

Music industry lawyer Richard Mark Bray has also been named as an estate administrator.

While Cheryl and Bray have been appointed as administrators, their authority is currently limited. They can manage the assets, but cannot distribute them just yet.

Court documents have revealed that the gross value of Payne’s assets is substantial, citing at about £28.6 million (roughly $59 million), with a net value of £24.3 million (about $50 million) after debts and expenses.
