Clive Palmer’s Trumpet Of Patriots Slammed Over Unsolicited Election Texts

Clive Palmer’s Trumpet of Patriots is under fire after blasting out a wave of unsolicited text messages to voters on Thursday — all pushing a link to the party’s website, ahead of the 2025 election.

Angry recipients have slammed the move as desperate, invasive, and downright spammy.

The text reads: ‘'Solve housing fast trains 20 minute CBD. Super for deposit 3% interest, cut immigration by 80%,' the texts read.’

'Auth by H Fong Trumpet of Patriots.'

Aussies were quick to jump online and vent their frustration over the "invasive" election tactic.

One Reddit user fired off a post asking, "How do I stop those stupid Trumpet of Patriots text messages?"

The post racked up thousands of likes and hundreds of comments from equally fed-up Aussies.

“I reply with “go f*** yourself” every time. Doesn’t go to them or do anything but makes me feel better,” one user wrote.

“My first preference will go to whichever party promises to ban sms campaigning,” another added.

“How bloody rude! I got one today and I feel violated,” a third chimed in.

Annoying as they are, the Australian Electoral Commission says the party is legally allowed to send the texts.

'It is legal,' an AEC spokesman told Daily Mail Australia.

'Political parties are exempt from the Spam Act and the Do Not Call Register.
