Just last month, the 23-year-old Aussie champion from the Sunshine Coast broke her 100m freestyle S9 world record with a time of 59.22, and this weekend, she proved it's just the beginning for our golden girl.
On Saturday night, Leary clocked 27.23 seconds in the 50m freestyle to take down the S9 world record.
On Sunday morning, Leary again smashed her own 100m freestyle record, powering through the two-lap race in 59.07 seconds in the heats.
And on Sunday night, in the 100m freestyle final, she hit 58.89 to lower her S9 world record for a second time in a single day.
"I was in a little bit of a stress about it 'cause I knew that I hit the record in the heat," Leary said after her third record-breaking swim of the Sydney Open.
"But I just knew that I had so much passion and determination in this one to break it again. That was my biggest goal tonight — to rebreak the record."
"The more PBs [personal bests] I'm getting the more I'm getting more passion and determination to what I'm going to do, like the job I'm going to get done.
"So that's a big thing I've got with myself at the moment that I'm going to keep pushing the limits and pushing the boundaries as much as it's hurting my body, but it's giving me great success and something I love."
Leary is preparing for the world championship trials, which will be held in Adelaide from June 9-14.
The world championships will be hosted by Singapore from September 21-27.
