Victoria Confirms It Will Sign Deal To Host 2026 Commonwealth Games

The Victorian Government has confirmed they will sign a deal to host the 2026 Commonwealth Games.

The Government were approached to host the games and have accepted the offer, with a focus on regional areas hosting major events.

In July, the 2022 Commonwealth Games will be hosted in Birmingham, UK.

Melbourne & Victoria was a logical choice for the games, due to its pre-existing sporting infrastructure and hosting experience, including the 2006 Commonwealth Games.
