You may know the UK-based family, who went viral nine months ago for their viral cover of ‘One Day More’ from Les Misérables, substituting the actual lyrics with hot-take lines such as “Another day, another destiny. Shopping for online delivery,” and “Sunshine is a bummer when we’re stuck inside.”
Their next big viral splash comes via Bonnie Tyler’s 1983 hit ‘Total Eclipse of the Heart’, renamed as ‘Totally Fixed Where We Are’ about the third lockdowns that are keeping UK residents stuck inside with their singing/non-singing families.
And take it from someone who went through months of lockdown in Melbourne - this one is hitting VERY close to home.
Since the song was released on Feb 3 it’s had over 1,778,000 views. Eat your heart out, Weird Al Yankovic - there’s new parody song royalty in town.
All the best to the Marsh family, and anyone else who is currently going through any type of lockdown or quarantine.
May your singing family be the way you keep everyone’s mind focused on getting through it.
And here’s hoping whoever’s on tambourine doesn’t miss their beat.
