The Hollywood sign has been sitting on Mount Lee, in the Beachwood Canyon area of the Santa Monica Mountains for almost 100-years. You can see it clearly from nearly every street in Hollywood, with its thick white lettering contrasting against the hills.
After the LA Rams won the Super Bowl earlier this week, the iconic Hollywood sign was given a makeover to help celebrate the victory. “This town has the best teams and fans in the world, and we can’t wait to show off our LA pride with a display that only Hollywood could deliver,” Mayor Eric Garcetti said in a statement.
The sign, temporarily reading ‘Rams House’. However, it was a little difficult to decipher, and NFL fans have criticised the sign with the colour shading making the white letters hard to read.
Fans took to Twitter, with most saying that it looks ‘s**t’. With others trying to work out what it says, from ‘HAMSHWOGE’ to ‘RAMSHWUSE’. Another calling out that they threw a guy in prison for once, making it say ‘Hollyweed’.
Let’s hope the Dodgers, Angeles, Lakers and Clippers have a quiet year.
