Queensland Announces Its Roadmap To Opening Up To The Rest Of Australia

Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has revealed that the states' border will re-open to the rest of Australia.

At 70 per cent fully vaccinated, expected on November 19, the state will open to fully vaccinated people as long as they have had a negative test 72 hours prior. They will also have to complete 14 days home quarantine.

At 80 per cent, expected on December 17th, fully vaccinated people will be allowed to enter the state as long as they have tested negative 72 hours prior. At this stage, no quarantine will be needed.

The state is calling for anyone who wants to see their family at Christmas to get vaccinated now, as the gap between vaccinations is up to 6 weeks.

Queensland has reported no new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours and is managing 25 active cases.
