NFL Super Bowl Player’s Wife Goes Into Labour Mid-Game At The Stadium

NFL player Van Jefferson left the Rams celebrations to be with his wife as she gave birth.

As an NFL player, winning a Super Bowl would be up there with life achievements, right alongside having a child. For Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Van Jefferson, he did both on the same day.

During the biggest game of the year, NFL Network Reporter Bridget Condon spotted Jefferson's wife Samaria, leaving the game on a stretcher.

Samaria was in the stands of SoFi Stadium, cheering on her husband when she unexpectedly went into labour. Having happened mid-way through the game as the Rams were planning their big comeback, Jefferson left the stadium as soon as he could.

While his teammates celebrated after their historic win, Jefferson made a quick exit off the field, to the locker room and out of the stadium to the hospital to meet his wife.

"It was a great day, bro," Jefferson wrote on his Instagram. "I got three prizes today — my wife, my son and the Super Bowl."
