Mum Discovers She’s Been Celebrating Her Kid’s Birthday On The Wrong Date

A mother from Minnesota has been left red-faced after discovering she had been celebrating her son’s birthday on the wrong date for two years.

Emily Vondrachek explained in a now-viral TikTok the embarrassing moment she discovered the 26 February date she thought was her son’s birthday, was wrong.

The drama began when her paediatrician called to tell her there was a problem with the insurance company after she had taken her son, Henry, for a check-up.

“I am his mother, I know his birthday,” she said in the video.

“I’m about to call up my insurance company to let them have it and I said, ‘Maybe I should scroll back on Facebook to look at the birth announcement years ago, to make sure.’”

Only when Emily did have a look back through her Facebook, she discovered the 26th was the wrong day.

It turned out, Henry’s birthday was February 25th.

“For two years I've been celebrating his birthday on the 26th,” Emily said.

“And now, I have to call my paediatrician back and say, "Ha ha ha, you know what? I had my kid's birthday wrong."

Emily is the mother of four kids, and told Today Parents that Henry’s due date was the 26th, and that may be why she got it wrong.

“But who knows. I’m exhausted,” she told Today Parents.
