McDonalds Is Replaced In Russia By Suspiciously Similar Outlet

All 847 McDonald’s restaurants in Russia were closed this month in solidarity with Ukraine. However, Russians have a new fast food giant to welcome in it’s place.

The shutdown of Mcdonald's led to customers stockpiling burgers to prepare for life without the golden arches.

However, just days later, a new set of arches have appeared - horizontally.

Its golden logo and red background were noted almost immediately by online critics, with Twitter users joking at what the menu items would be called: ‘I would like to try a Putin McMuffin or a Big Stalin Mac or a Borscht Milkshake.’

Russia’s State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin told parliament the ‘Uncle Vanya’ franchise should replace the shut McDonald’s stores.
