Jess Hunt, a model and influencer, uploaded photos and a video to Instagram of herself in a shiny black dress and stiletto heels. She was standing in the middle of the road in front of the famed Paris landmark.
But did she get there by plane or by editing?
Some people responded with positive comments and heart emojis, however others were a little more skeptical. They claim Hunt had probably used a green screen to create the images.
Not only did they have a dig at her for lying, but also her photoshop skills. The jokes rolled in with people commenting "I too travel with Photoshop" and “Can't unsee the photoshop”.
Many comments pointed out issues with the photos like the scale and lack of shadow. The biggest oversight though, was the fact that there’s no actual road running under the Eiffel Tower. Le ooops
Australian satire account Celeb Spellcheck referred to her as a "virtual tourist".
Others, were too busy admiring Hunt’s dress to question the validity of the photo. This highlights one of the most overlooked rules of photoshop; distract people with shiny things.
Hunt hasn’t responded to the editing claims. She continued to post as normal, following it up with a series of effortlessly glamourous pics in her favourite outfits.
Turns out the people of the internet aren’t as gullible as influencers would like.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to Paris.
