Fire Brigade Called In To Help Rescue Five Sheep Trapped On A Roof

Five sheep have got themselves into a woolly situation on top of a roof in the U.K.

Firefighter Damian Cameron shared the rescue on Twitter, saying, "some calls are stranger than others".

Photos of the stranded sheep accompanied the tweet.

West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to the house in the small town of Newmilldam, near Wakefield.

The sheep had been discovered after spending the night on the roof.

"Yes, it wasn't quite the night on the tiles those sheep were hoping for!" the brigade said on Twitter.

Firefighter Cameron went on to explain the sheep had jumped across a gap from a field at the rear of the house.

The sheep were rescued by the fire crew and a local landowner who erected a makeshift bridge to connect the roof to safe ground.
