Dyson Has Announced An Air Purifying Set of Headphones

With air compressors in the ear cups, users will get gusts of purified air

Move over invisible shields and ice cream cone rotators, we’ve got a new weird invention on the way! It’s called the Dyson Zone. No, that’s not referring to the patch of carpet that’s been blasted with a Dyson vacuum, it’s actually a new pair of Bluetooth headphones. That makes total sense, because when I think of Dyson, I think of quality sound products! Okay, that’s enough shade for now. Let’s explore what the Dyson Zone actually is…

It’s a set of large Bluetooth headphones with a plastic device that covers your nose and mouth to deliver purified air. So now you can listen to those sick beats without worrying about getting sick.

Chief Engineer at Dyson, Jake Dyson says, "Air pollution is a global problem – it affects us everywhere we go… The Dyson Zone purifies the air you breathe on the move. And unlike face masks, it delivers a plume of fresh air without touching your face.”

The device can impressively clean the air of 99% of pollutants, such as bacteria, dust, and even pollen! If only Claratyne thought of this device sooner! But if you don’t want the air purifier (maybe you’re getting weird looks on the bus), you can simply remove it.

With the air-purifier on, the device can last up to 4.5 hours on a single charge, unless you’re in a highly polluted area. Or if you want the battery to last up to 40 hours, simply don’t use the air purifier at all. Although, that’ll take the irony out of listening to ‘In the Air Tonight’. Oh well, some sacrifices need to be made.

It’s sure to be a hit when it hits shelves later this year, as long as you don’t mind looking like a budget-Poweranger.
