Yep, the key to becoming a country music superstar is to get up about 1 or 2 hours earlier than bakers and farmers, and just before Lindsay Lohan gets home.
Dolly revealed in an interview this week, “I go to bed pretty early, but even if I’ve been up late — it’s just kind of like a little clock inside of me that says, ‘It’s 3 o’clock!’ ”. Which begs the question: Does her little clock do that for both AM and PM? Does she have an internal alarm for Judge Judy?
Dolly is famous for working 9 to 5, but if she’s getting up at 3 am, it kinda makes her seem a bit lazy. What’s she doing for 6 hours before she starts work? Cartoons? Pancakes? Aerobics Oz Style? Then what?
She says that she never feels tired, saying, “I don’t require as much sleep as a lot of other people do. That’s kind of a Parton family trait.” Yet she’s never got bags under her eyes! Which, to be fair, is probably more thanks to her surgeons than the Parton genes.
It’s cleared up one thing. It’s known that Dolly Parton wrote “Jolene” and “I Will Always Love You” on the same day. That was previously thought of as being the product of a miraculous work ethic, but now that we know she had an extra 3 or 4 hours to do it, she probably should’ve knocked off the third one.
