Australian Hannah Green Becomes First Female Winner Of Mixed-Gender Tournament

Hannah Green has become the first woman to win a mixed gender golf tournament over 72 holes. The contest is part of Australia’s “Players Series” that allows men and women to compete with an adjusted set of tees.

Green came off a victory in the Victorian Open last week, beginning the final round at Cobram Barooga in a four-way tie for the lead.

Chipping in for eagle on the par-5 10h hole, she seized control and had a comfortable lead on the home stretch.

Her victory in the TPS Murray River on the PGA Tour of Australasia resulted when she closed with a 5-under 66 for a four-shot victory.

The tournament’s website did not indicate the difference in yardage on the golf course.
