A $25 'Apple Cloth' Is Here To Save Your Dirty Screens

Apple has gone Full Apple with its latest product announcement at its October Event on Monday.

Predictably we were informed of the two new MacBook Pro models powered by new in-house Apple Silicon chips as well as a new generation of its AirPods wireless earbuds and a $A5.99-per-month music subscription service.

But it’s the ‘Apple Cloth’ that has really got tongues wagging. The small piece of fabric retails at US$19 (AU$25).

“Made with soft, nonabrasive material, the Polishing Cloth cleans any Apple display, including nano-texture glass, safely and effectively,” the Apple website describe it as.

In case the price seems steep, especially for something you can buy a box of for $7 at Woolies, the website also lists the cloth as compatible with the whole suite of Apple products.

The new MacBook Pro laptops with 14-inch and 16-inch displays are powered by the new chips.

The models eliminated the "Touch Bar" that Apple's fans had groused about and restored several connectors - including the company's "MagSafe" power connector - that had disappeared in recent years, angering some of the company's users.

Apple said the 14-inch model and the 16-inch model will start shipping next week.
