Natural and unmistakably Australian, Dave “Hughesy” Hughes’ laconic style thinly disguises one of this country’s fastest comedic minds. Turning everyday foibles into rich and hilarious routines has made “Hughesy” one of the biggest names in Australian comedy.
Having co-hosted 10’s The Project and Before The Game, Dave had well and truly earnt his car space at 10 before his most recent ventures at the network. From solving the nation’s issues as the host of Hughesy, We Have a Problem to his star guest panel role on the smash hit The Masked Singer Australia, Dave is an Australian comedy favourite who’s hard to miss.
A favourite in radioland, Dave spent 10 years as part of the Nova Melbourne line up before announcing that he would be giving up his radio and television jobs to go back to his roots touring a brand-new stand-up show for an entire year. That show, Pointless, sold over 60,000 tickets and went to every corner of Australia as well as overseas to LA, Montreal, the Edinburgh Fringe and Soho Theatre in London’s West End. Dave returned to the airwaves with long time co-host Kate Langbroek in 2015 with a national drive radio program, Hughesy and Kate.
You can currently hear Dave as the co-host of Hit Network’s 2Day FM breakfast show with Ed Kavalee and Erin Molan.
