Master Bedroom: DeClutter With Peter Walsh
Peter’s approach to help them to let go of the past was to question the validity of their reason for keeping items. This was the final result!
For almost 40 years, Diane and Barry’s bedroom has been neglected and has accumulated a lot of unnecessary things. As full time carers for their daughter they always put themselves last. Peter Walsh and The Living Room team are here to help !
While Peter helps Diane and Barry deal with sorting their chaotic bedroom and working through the emotions tied to it, the rest of the team will give the bedroom a complete makeover and create a room for Diane and Barry to really call their own
To transform the bedroom Peter needed Dianne and Barry to get rid of the majority of their belongings. They had 120 boxes, 12 metres of hanging clothes and a staggering 43 bags in their room
Keeping memories is important but not when it gets in the way of how you live. Making decisions on what you keep should be about what do you use now, not what you used to use
To help Barry with the process of saying farewell, Peter donated his business wear to Dress for Work, a charity that helps disadvantaged men get back into the workforce
Peter stripped everything right back and refurbished their bedroom from top to toe. The team have given it a lick of paint, added heaps of storage with a customised storage system from Flexistorage and brand new furniture throughout, something Barry & Dianne have NEVER had before!
