US Ballot Boxes Set On Fire In Potential Arson Attack | 10 News First
NC | News
Ballot drop boxes in the US have been set on fire in what authorities believe are connected incidents almost a week out from Election Day. Local officials said three ballots were damaged in Portland after an incendiary device triggered a fire suppression system inside a drop box, while potentially “hundreds” were affected in Vancouver on Monday morning. Police say they have identified a "suspect vehicle” with CCTV capturing a Volvo stopping at a drop box in Portland, just before security personnel nearby discovered a fire inside the box. The two arson incidents are also believed to be connected to a third ballot box incident that happened on October 8.
