There's a lot of anger over the tariffs being imposed on our steel and aluminium, with one senator calling for strong retaliation. There's also been plenty of debate over what the Prime Minister should — or shouldn’t — have done to secure an exemption, and what the government should do now in response. Instead of reciprocal tariffs, which Anthony Albanese has ruled out, Senator Jacqui Lambie has suggested kicking the United States military out of the country and shutting Pine Gap to the Americans.
