Putin Agrees In Principle With US Ceasefire Proposal | 10 News First

Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that Russia supports a US proposal for a 30-day ceasefire in Ukraine in principle, but many crucial details needed to be sorted out. He noted the need to develop a mechanism to control possible breaches of the truce and there are issues that need to be discussed with American colleagues and partners. Meanwhile President Zelenskyy of Ukraine has condemned Putin’s “very predictable, very manipulative words in response to the idea of a ceasefire”. US President Donald Trump responded to Putin’s statement calling it “very promising” and that he was willing to meet or talk to the Russian leader.
