“I’ve avoided eating animal penis for 47 years.”

Peter Helliar is in the business of being funny and he makes it look dead easy! Peter has performed stand up for more than twenty years, selling out shows right across the country.

Since first appearing on Rove Live in the late 90s, Peter’s extraordinary entertainment and comedy career has spanned everything from radio to screenwriting, producing and co-starring in feature films and television series.

A man of many talents, Peter created and co-produced two series of the award winning It’s A Date, and he wrote, directed and starred in all three seasons of 10’s widely loved dramedy, How To Stay Married.

Peter is a regular fixture on our TV screens, having co-hosted The Project on Network 10 from 2014 through to the end of 2022.

He is also the host of Family Feud, The Podcast produced for Apple, and hosts the very funny cinema podcast You Ain’t Seen Nothin’ Yet.

Performing stand up is tough, but his toughest critics yet, are kids. Peter authored the much-loved children’s book series, Frankie Fish who he dedicated to his three "champions", children Liam, Aidan and Oscar. At the end of 2022 he released another children's book called Herman Crab.
