Australia Unites: Red Cross Flood Appeal Telethon To Help Those Affected By Floods

The Australia Unites: Red Cross Flood Appeal will air live on Saturday, March 12 at 7.30 on 10, 10 play, Channel 9, 9Now, Channel 7 and 7plus.

After the recent floods that have devastated Queensland and New South Wales, Network 10, Seven and Nine have united for a live telethon to raise funds for those affected.

Following the storms that have been raging across Queensland and Northern NSW, tens of thousands of homes, businesses and communities have been left without power, forced to evacuate and even lost their homes.

Stars from both networks will be joining forces to support those worst affected by the floods, as clean-up efforts continue across the country, despite many bracing for more severe weather and flash-flooding.

A host of Australian music greats will perform to raise money on the night, including Tones And I, Delta Goodrem, Jon Stevens, Missy Higgins, Vanessa Amorosi, Hunters and Collectors, Guy Sebastian, Kate Miller-Heidke, The Living End, Casey Donovan and Sheppard with more to come.

10’s Carrie Bickmore, Dr. Chris Brown, Amanda Keller and Osher Günsberg, Channel 9’s Scott Cam, Sylvia Jeffreys, Andy Lee and Peter Overton and Channel 7’s Natalie Barr, David Koch, Sonia Kruger and Mark Ferguson are confirmed as part of the hosting ensemble, with more names to be announced soon.

All proceeds from the telethon will be donated to the Australian Red Cross, who have been providing aid and humanitarian support to the people and communities that have been affected.

You can donate now at https://www.redcross.org.au/floodsappeal/ or call 1800 733 276.
